Panch Prayag refers to the five sacred river confluences in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, where two or more rivers meet and merge. These five holy sites—Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandaprayag, and Vishnuprayag—are revered by pilgrims and nature enthusiasts alike. Each confluence has its own significance and offers a serene environment that captivates visitors with its spiritual aura and natural beauty.

Devprayag is where the Alaknanda meets the Bhagirathi, forming the mighty Ganges. Rudraprayag marks the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Karnaprayag is where the Alaknanda meets the Pindar River. Nandaprayag is the confluence of the Alaknanda and Nandakini rivers, while Vishnuprayag is where the Alaknanda meets the Dhauliganga River.

Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar

  • Arrival in Haridwar: Start your spiritual journey with a warm welcome at Haridwar, one of the holiest cities in India.
  • Haridwar Sightseeing: Visit Har Ki Pauri to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti in the evening.
  • Overnight Stay: Check into your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2: Haridwar to Devprayag (95 km, 3-4 hours)

  • Early Morning Departure: After breakfast, depart for Devprayag, the first of the Panch Prayags, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet to form the holy Ganga.
  • Visit Devprayag: Explore the ancient Raghunathji Temple and enjoy the serene surroundings at the confluence.
  • Overnight Stay: Check into a local guesthouse or hotel in Devprayag.

Day 3: Devprayag to Rudraprayag (70 km, 2-3 hours)

  • Morning Drive to Rudraprayag: After breakfast, proceed to Rudraprayag, the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers.
  • Explore Rudraprayag: Visit the Koteshwar Mahadev Temple located on the banks of the river.

Day 4: Rudraprayag to Karnaprayag (35 km, 1-2 hours)

  • Travel to Vishnuprayag: Continue your journey to Vishnuprayag, the last of the Panch Prayags, where the Alaknanda meets the Dhauliganga river.

Day 6: Vishnuprayag to Joshimath (14 km, 1 hour) and Return to Haridwar (255 km, 7-8 hours)

  • Visit Joshimath: After breakfast, visit Joshimath, an important pilgrimage site and a gateway to the famous Badrinath.
  • Return to Haridwar: Begin your journey back to Haridwar, with stops for refreshments and scenic views along the way.
  • Departure: Arrive in Haridwar in the evening. End your Panch Prayag tour with unforgettable memories.
